The aim of the paper is to reveal relationship between biographies, migration, and gender norms among Hungarian live-in migrant care workers show their interaction through a dynamic analysis. study based on empirical research conducted mainly in sending country, Hungary. analysis involved thirty-seven interviews carried out 2016 2019. were undertaken using combination narrative semi-structured interview techniques. I employed method biographical case reconstruction thematic observe potential links interactions carers with help typology demographic elements. demonstrates that family background partnerships have important effects work abroad its perception, while working can also shape norms. Interview reveals complex picture. While some various social backgrounds rely supportive families, members non-egalitarian families experienced reinforced due labor women find themselves an even more vulnerable situation at home.
